The ugly part of my career
Hi everyone!
So, I’m studying musical
interpretation, even though I love it, there is a lot of things that I would
change about it. For example, I have 8 classes this year. I don’t even have the
time to practice properly, or study for every class, or have a nice time with
my friends. I’m working on organizing my schedule so I can have time for myself,
but it’s kinda hard.
Also, the worst experience that I
had with a professor was back in 2019, when I had chamber music with some
friends that were 2 years ahead of me. I hated it because the teacher didn’t gave
any feedback to my classmates, just me. He asked me every class how many years I’ve
been playing my instrument, and saying that I should know things that I was
just learning at that moment. He was so mean, I ended up crying after his
classes because I felt so humiliated. I’m not very confident at anything, so
this experience didn’t help at all.
The end of the semester is stressful for everyone I think. Usually at that time of the year I sleep like 6 hours or less because there so much repertoire to play, so much exams, and so much essays. Last year I got so stressed that my skin broke into a very severe acne, so I had to put myself together and prioritize my health, also, acne treatments are so expensive, I´m still taking med for it. So please, take care TT.
